This District is one of the most peaceful district in entire state. There has been no serious law and order problem in the district . Presently the police department is headed by Shri Rike Kamsi as Superintendent of Police . There is considerable presence of ITBP and Indian Army in the district and by and large district is tranquil.There are two police stations- one at Khupa –Hayuliang township and one at Hawai Urban.
