Events to Commemorate on 63rd Anniversary of Battle of Walong

1. BATTLE FIELD TREKS

Step into history and retrace the footsteps of valour with a series of Battlefield Treks where 1962 War was planned and fought across the historic landscapes of Walong to give realtime feel to the Youth of country about the hardships of the soldier to secure the motherland. These treks are designed to connect participants with the legacy of courage while offering the thrill of adventure amidst the breathtaking terrain. Each route carries stories of sacrifice and resilience, making every step a tribute to the past and a journey into the spirit of endurance.

The following treks are planned:

Dichu to Ashi Hill – 24th October 2025
Helmet Post to Tri Junction – 28th October 2025
Tilam Top to Namti – 30th October 2025
Ashi Hill to Helmet Post – 31st October 2025

Each trek is not only an adventure but also a living homage to the bravery of those who stood guard in the most testing of times. Participants will carry with them not just the memories of stunning vistas and physical achievement, but also a deeper connection to the heroic spirit that continues to inspire generations.

2.LT BIKRAM SINGH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

In tribute to the indomitable spirit and sacrifice of Lt Bikram Singh, a football tournament will be held that brings together passion, teamwork, and the love of the game. This event is not just about sport, but also about honouring a legacy of courage and inspiring the next generation to uphold the same spirit of determination and resilience.

The tournament will kick off with League Matches from 1st November to 12th November 2025, setting the stage for thrilling contests between teams vying for a place in the grand finale. The excitement will culminate with the Finals on 16th November 2025, where the best of the best will battle it out for glory.

At stake are prestigious prizes that reflect both recognition and reward:
