The 2nd Chapter of “ SARKAR AAPKE DWAR”, Anjaw District was held on 1st August 2018 in Walong with great fanfare. All HoDs with Staff travelled from Hawai and Hayuliang. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Smti Mamata Riba along with all assembled Gaon Buras and public of Walong Circle. The medical and veterinary camps were crowd pullers. Medical/Dental Examination blood, OAB sampling and distribution of IEC Materials was carried out by the Medical department. The Veterinary department distributed medicines for cattle, mithuns, pigs and goats. Distribution of saplings by Forest Department, and of Seeds and utilities by Agriculture and Horticulture departments were carried out. Special attraction of the day was distribution of Plumbing Equipments – cum – One day training on Plumbing monitored by Executive Engineer PHED Er. D.Tago. Earlier, in the morning, Deputy Commissioner Smti Mamata Riba along with PD DRDA Shri Mito Dirchi and other Officers travelled on foot to Musai Village crossing 200 mtr Foot Suspension Bridge over the mighty Lohit river to supervise and inspect the usage of freshly completed Additional Classroom, Teacher’s quarter, Skill Development Centre and Children’s playground as a part of Model Village infrastructure funded under BADP for the people of the Village. Distribution of LED lamps under Ujjala Scheme by APEDA, Sports articles by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, lifesaving implements by Disaster Management department were very well received. In the social sphere, on the spot registration for flagship programmes like Dulari Kanya Scheme, issuance of Old Age Pension by ICDS, issuance of Registration Cards and distribution of welfare kits by the Department of Labour & Employment and APL & OCWB and issuance of Births, ST, PRC and Income Certificates by the General Administration were highlights of the day.
